THE MODEL THERAPIST
MY APPROACH
I am an expert in addiction, codependency, and eating disorders, with particular interest and experience in how these conditions manifest in individuals working in entertainment and media, and how the influence of this industry extends to those outside of it.
My approach, shaped to fit each client, is a tapestry woven from diverse therapeutic modalities, interlacing Gestalt, Schema, Psychodynamic and Humanistic Therapy, as well as CBT and DBT, all through a trauma-informed lens. Each of the modalities I have studied contribute a unique thread to the healing journey, but no tapestry – no client – is the same. I work with people – not conditions or disorders.
Every person is different, and every person is a whole; a sum of intricate stories and multifaceted identities, and not defined by any single one. My perspective transcends labels and categories. Therefore, my philosophy extends beyond addressing individual concerns in isolation. In my eyes, these challenges—be it addiction, codependency, eating disorders, or trauma—are interconnected roots of a single tree. Treating one leaf, or even one branch, won't lead to sustained growth and healing; we must tend to the entire ecosystem.
I'm not here to stick band-aids on. I'm here to help you dig, because without excavating the root causes of our wounds, true healing remains elusive.

MY STORY
I entered the modeling industry at the age of just fourteen, and was launched – quite unpreparedly – into a world of measurement, comparison, casual dehumanization and objectification, and perpetual unattainable standards. For over a decade, I inhabited this alternate reality, achieving many of the outward markers of success our culture celebrates. I also experienced the lowest moments of my life.
I grew up in the industry, surrounded by depression and anxiety, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, addictions, sexual and gender-based violence, and more. These demons were always hidden in plain sight. Everybody knew they were there. Nobody talked about them. That creates a lot of shame. It took me more than ten years to overcome that shame, and to realize that the very thing everybody else considered their weakness, was my strength. I was going to shine a light into the darkness, and get rid of the monsters.
I became a psychologist, completed my training in specialist in-patient clinics, authored dozens of peer-reviewed research papers, mostly investigating eating disorders and addictions and their links to the entertainment industry. I also co-authored two books, and became the first psychologist-personality on Polish television, and later, a producer.
In 2018, I was thrust further into the spotlight when I became one of the most public faces of the #MeToo movement, where I’m still doing what I believe in – encouraging people to own their narratives, and shine light into the dark.
